Why should I create a personal inventory of everything I own?

We strongly recommend that you keep an inventory of all your personal property to save yourself a ton of time, hassle and heartache if you ever need to make a claim. Keep your inventory up to date and tucked away in a safe place outside of your home, like in a safety deposit box, along with your invoices, receipts, appraisals, photos, videos, make/model/serial numbers (or even user guides and warranties). We suggest that you go from room to room and describe everything in as much detail as possible.
