S.O.S. HOME protection covers:

• Household appliances 10 years old or less: includes your washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, microwave, central vacuum system, garbage disposal unit, garage door opener, home and fire alarm systems and more.
• Heating and air conditioning systems 15 years old or less: all components of the central systems including heat pumps, air conditioners, air exchangers, electric baseboard heaters and interior oil storage tanks.

• Water heaters 10 years old or less: all parts and components.
• Sanitary installations (emergency service): repair of any blockage or leak of your plumbing system, including all pipes and fittings (water, gas, vents)
• Electrical installations: switches, receptacles, circuits (including repair of short circuits), junction boxes, junctions and fuse panels.

You can claim up to $1,500 per covered item to a maximum of $7,500 per year. There is a $50 deductible which merely covers the service call you’d need to pay without the protection of S.O.S. HOME.
