Why has belairdirect decided to partner with Aeroplan?
Aeroplan allows belairdirect to offer its customers additional value in appreciation of their business and continued loyalty.
How does Aeroplan membership work? What is it all about?
Aeroplan membership is free and brings you closer to great rewards and experiences! Collecting miles from Aeroplan Partners gives you the opportunity to select from over 400 Aeroplan Rewards such as vacations, flights, entertainment, sports events, spa packages and much more!
JOINING THE PROGRAM
How do I earn Aeroplan Miles?
Upon supplying belairdirect with a valid Aeroplan number, customers are eligible for monthly miles based on their total premium.
Will Aeroplan advise belairdirect of my Aeroplan number?
No, Aeroplan Members must actively enrol by supplying their valid Aeroplan number.
I’m currently a belairdirect customer. How do I provide my Aeroplan membership number and start earning miles?
There are two ways to get your Aeroplan membership number to belairdirect:
- Visit belairdirect online at www.belairdirect.com and follow the “Aeroplan” links
- Contact the belairdirect Customer Care Centre 1 877.235.2376 Monday to Friday 7 a.m.-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Are there any eligibility qualifications for the program? Can my friend or neighbour collect the miles?
To qualify you must:
- be an Aeroplan Member, and
- have a valid, in force personal lines (auto &/or home) policy with belairdirect, and
- be a named insured on an belairdirect policy
- be in good standing with belairdirect at the time of enrollment
AWARD CALCULATIONS & CONDITIONS
How are my monthly miles calculated?
Once enrolled in the program, you will earn 1 Aeroplan Mile for every $2 of your annual belairdirect home and/or car insurance policy premium. Aeroplan Miles will be allocated monthly according to the premium paid during that month or, if the premium is paid in one installment, according to the premium acquired on the day the miles are allocated. The monthly allocation of miles will be credited to the Aeroplan account in question on the day that corresponds to the policy effective date. Your miles will be rounded to the closest dollar value.
Are taxes on my premium included in the calculation of miles?
No. Taxes are not included in your monthly mile calculation.
If there’s a change in my policy, how does it affect my miles?
Since the accumulation of miles is based on the total annual premium, changes to your policy that affect the premium will also affect your mile accumulation.
If I cancel my policy, do I keep my Aeroplan Miles?
Yes. Should you cancel your policy you will retain the Aeroplan Miles you have earned, but will not continue to earn additional Aeroplan Miles.
Can my belairdirect/Aeroplan Miles be divided between me and my spouse?
Aeroplan Miles cannot be divided amongst members in any manner. Aeroplan, however, does permit mile transfers between members. For further information on transferring your miles, please contact the Aeroplan Contact Centre or visit aeroplan.com.
TIMING OF MILE AWARDS
When will miles be credited to my Aeroplan account?
Aeroplan Miles will be credited to Aeroplan accounts 4 to 6 weeks after the belairdirect eligible policy effective/inception date for new policies and/or 4 to 6 weeks after the Aeroplan member information is received for existing eligible belairdirect policies.
When will my Aeroplan Miles appear on my Aeroplan statement?
Although miles are credited every 30 days, please allow four to six weeks after they are earned for them to be reflected on your statement.
I have paid for my insurance in full. Can I receive all my miles upfront?
Aeroplan is intended to recognize customer loyalty on an ongoing basis and is not tied to the manner in which you pay for insurance. You will receive your Aeroplan Miles on a monthly basis, according to the amount of your annual premium acquired on the day of the allocation.

I’m a belairdirect client, but I’m not an Aeroplan Member. How do I join Aeroplan?
Please visit aeroplan.com and follow the ‘Become a Member’ tab. You can easily enrol on-line.

Will belairdirect disclose any of my policy or personal information to Aeroplan?
Your privacy is extremely important to belairdirect. Absolutely no information will be provided to Aeroplan without your explicit consent, in accordance with belairdirect privacy policy which can be viewed online at www.belairdirect.com
Can I use my Aeroplan Miles to purchase insurance?
No. You cannot use or redeem your existing Aeroplan Miles to purchase insurance.
Will I receive a discount on my insurance if I’m an Aeroplan Member?
There is no discount directly associated with Aeroplan membership.
